SEND Advice Service

The Skylarks SEND advice service Is here to provide support for parents, carers and young people.


We aim to provide information to families via talks and advice sessions to enable us to have the capacity to offer as much support as possible to families.

  • Talks in Twickenham A series of larger talks on issues that are of interest to families around subject like: Transition, Considering Appeals and Tribunals. Some of these are delivered by the SEND advice Service and some by outside professionals
  • Micro Talks: A series of online talks covering a range of different elements of SEND process, Micro Talks will have a maximum of 5 families attending giving you plenty of time to ask questions and learn/ support from each other. The Micro talks are described below in order of where you may want support.
  • Drop in advice sessions at Skylarks Hounslow
  • Face to Face advice sessions at The Crossway centre in East Twickenham on Tuesdays

We can also provide support by Video Call, Phone or Email. Please contact the team by email to Education@skylarks.charity The team will then respond and advise on ways that we can support you. In most cases we will look to provide advice for you to take action. We can in some cases provide ongoing support but we will discus this with you after we have responded to your request.

SOS!SEN also have a helpline and walk-in Advice centres and also offer a paid EHCP review service.
All Local Authorities have to provides a SENDIASS which you can find here for your area.
