Celebrating Neurodiversity with Our 2025 Spread Your Wings Programme

 

As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Skylarks is proud to announce the launch 2025 Spread Your Wings college programme - a transformative initiative designed to support young people with additional needs on their career journeys.

 

Launched at Richmond College this week, the college programme provides personalised career coaching, workplace skills development, and confidence-building to help neurodivergent students thrive in the workplace and beyond. At Skylarks, we believe that every mind is unique, every strength deserves recognition, and every individual has the potential to soar.

 

For years, Skylarks has been dedicated to supporting thousands of young people with additional needs and disabilities, along with their families. The Spread Your Wings careers and employability schools' programme has been in place for a number of years. This programme is an extension of this mission, aimed at equipping young people with additional needs with the skills, experience, and confidence they need to navigate the world of work.

 

Through a combination of:

·      Tailored coaching & mentoring

·      Workplace skills development

·      Employer engagement & career pathways

 

Spread Your Wings opens real opportunities for employment, helping young people with additional needs gain confidence, independence and reach their full potential.

 

 

The launch at Richmond College marks a significant milestone, and we’re excited to expand further to schools and colleges in Richmond, Hounslow, and beyond.

 

We’re looking forward to working with local businesses and partners to:

·      Connect our graduates with employers

·      Offer mentorship, work experience & taster days

·      Create accessible career pathways

 

 

In addition to our long-standing Skylarks Twickenham base, we’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of Skylarks Hounslow - a new, fully accessible centre opening this summer. This new space will enable us to:

 

·      Expand all our services including Spread Your Wings courses

·      Partner with more schools & colleges

 

With two dedicated centres, Skylarks is committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring every young person has the support they need to build a brighter future.
