EOTAS: what is it, when is it appropriate, how do you get it, what should it look like? - Douglas Harmer (Geldards LLP)

This talk will cover an explanation of education otherwise than at school (EOTAS) when secured as part of an EHCP. 

It will cover: 
(a)    What EOTAS is and the basic legal framework for deciding it is appropriate.
(b)    How parents can go about getting EOTAS written into their child’s EHCP.
(c)    What EOTAS packages in an EHCP should contain.

This talk will be delivered by education law solicitor Douglas Hamer, an associate at Geldards LLP, who has extensive experience in securing EOTAS packages. This talk will focus on EOTAS provided through an EHCP. It will therefore This talk will not provide information about elective home education (EHE) in order to place more focus on EOTAS
